Last Thursday we finished our last lesson and finished our fifth year of homeschooling!! Every year is different and full of excitement and challenges. This was a transition year for us because we had done the same thing every day for 5 years and we were bored with that. We started switching our schedule up and we added more co-ops. This year I also had the older kids start teaching more of our group lessons. We are doing a complete overhaul in the fall and I will post more of our schedule and the curriculum I will be using.
So what do we now that we're done with school and yet a lot of friends and cousins are still in school? We party!! We have been sleeping in, going to the park, going to museums, going hiking, made crafts...pretty much anything we want to!!
Here are some pictures of our adventures.
The monkeys still have to practice the piano and read their scriptures every day, and maybe do math once or twice a week, but that is about it.
You have to take advantage of the good weather while people are still in school! Looks like good memory making!
ReplyDeleteHave you been to the Thanksgiving Point gardens? Sometimes we go when they open and we are the only ones there for hours. NICE.
