Book Review:The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

I've wanted to do this for a while but because I am super forgetful, I would forget. We read a lot at my house so I thought I would start to give reviews of the different books we read. Now, this is my first time doing a book review so don't judge me too quickly.

This first book I'm going to be reviewing is called, "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" by Kate Dicamillo. I LOVED this book. It is a very quick read, it's 198 pages but they are small pages and there are a lot of illustrations. We read the book in two days. This book is about a china rabbit named Edward Tulane. A little girl name Abilene owned him and loved him very much. One day while on a vacation she lost him. This book is about his adventures after he is lost.

I thought it was beautifully written and had a great message. I even got a little teary eyed a couple of times during the book. My kids all enjoyed the book too; a few of the big ones have re-read the book. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

If you are reading the book aloud I think both girls and boys of all ages will enjoy it. But because there is a a rabbit on the cover boys over eight might be hesitant to read it on their own. We read it as a family and we all really liked the book.

  1. We are almost done reading Pippy Longstockings, but would love to try this one after. Do you own it?
